From expansion to excellence—how we built leaders for the long haul.
Sustained growth isn’t just about winning projects — it’s about building leaders.
When leadership development becomes a core strategy, companies strengthen culture, boost performance, and create lasting impact.
Since the launch of the program, the company has doubled in size-from $1 billion to $2 billion-and attributes part of that sustained growth to its commitment to leadership development. More than 91% of participants report applying what they've learned in their daily roles, contributing to stronger communication, more cohesive teams, and better business outcomes. This case exemplifies what's possible when leadership development is not just a checkbox, but a core strategic priority—a true investment in people that builds legacy, culture, and long-term success.
the result
In 2016, the company partnered with Cristina and her team to develop and launch a two-year, high-potential leadership program designed to grow internal talent and sustain the organization's success.
Nearly a decade later, the program is still running-and thriving. It has become a hallmark of the company's culture, with over 125 graduates to date. Selection into the program is now viewed as a prestigious professional milestone and a clear signal of future leadership potential.
Each cohort participates in quarterly, two-day, immersive sessions focused on Leading Self, Leading Teams, and Leading Within the Culture. These sessions are grounded in real-world business challenges and encourage deep reflection, peer learning, and practical application. Participants also engage in assessments to boost self-awareness and receive individualized coaching to help them grow influence, lead with clarity, and navigate organizational complexity. As the company expanded, the program became a vital lever for aligning culture across regions and acquisitions, giving leaders a shared language and mindset that transcended job site or geography.
the solution
A large construction firm based in the heartland was undergoing rapid growth, driven by major projects and a series of acquisitions. While the business thrived externally, it faced increasing internal complexity-leaders were managing dispersed teams across multiple job sites, navigating cultural integration, and maintaining safety and quality in a high-risk industry. The executive team recognized that continued success would require more than operational efficiency-it would require a unified, confident, and future-ready leadership bench.
